Towns
How do I create a town?
Go to the towns link in the top menu and click on, "create new town". If this is your first town it will be your capital city. Choose the location of your capital wisely, by looking at the map. Your capital cannot be conquered, but it can be raided and attacked (all towns except for your capital can be conquered by other players).
What do I do once I have created a town?
Click on the Town Hall building in the center of your town and start building.
Why can't I create a new town, apart from my first town?
You need to have a level 10 town hall in your capital city, and have at least 10 colonists in your capital city. Also you cannot create a new town if you have 4 or more towns(you can conquer more than 4).
Where can I build a town?
You can build a town anywhere on the map, as long as it is not a mountain or a swamp.
How can I select a map location to build a town on?
Click on the map link in the top menu and find your location. Then click on the location, and the map co-ordinates will be displayed. Enter those same co-ordinates when you create your town.
What is the Nomadic Troop Encampment?
The Nomadic Troop Encampment is a conquerable town that moves. Importantly it can be conquered even if a player has 10 towns(the maximum town limit). There is only 1 of these towns on the entire map, and it changes location every 24 hours. Usually who ever holds this town, is the number 1 player in the game! It can be identified, because it looks like a camp on the map and has a population of 800.
Resources
Why isn't my town producing any resources?
You need to construct the resource buildings first, then upgrade them. Be careful, each time you build/upgrade something the population increases, and with it, so does the upkeep(requiring more crops). So be sure to keep an eye on the crop production indicator.
How can I produce gold?
Gold is obtained from taxes. You can set a tax rate for your population at the town hall, with a maximum value of 210. You should be aware, that the morale of the people is affected by taxes.
What is "morale"?
Morale is a percentage number that represents the actual resource production. Meaning that for a morale of 90%, for example, your town will produce only 90% of the resource production rates.
A morale of 100% will ensure that no resources are lost.
You can boost the morale of the population by building a tavern and upgrading it. A happy worker is a productive worker.
In the marketplace, how much can 1 merchant transport?
A merchant in your marketplace can transport 500 of any given resource. The higher the level of your marketplace, the more merchants you will have, meaning you can transport more resources.
Combat
How can I protect my town from attack?
When you create your town, there is a building called a 'Cache'. The Cache protects a certain number of the town's resources, weapons, armor and horses. This is designed to help new players get started, without having to worry about being attacked. Also your first town cannot be conquered, it is called your Capital.
How can I make an Army?
First you must build the following buildings: Military Storage, Blacksmith, Weapon/Armor Shop and a Barracks.
Then upgrade the soldier of choice in the blacksmith for both offense and defense.
After this, make the weapons and armor required in the weapons shop. From there go to the barracks and train your soldiers.
How can I attack another town?

What is a Scout and what does it do?
A Scout is a type of soldier, that has the purpose of gathering information about troops from other towns. To go on a Scout or Spy mission, send only Scouts on an attack to another town (only 1 Scout is needed). Your Scout will find a way to get the information about the town back to you, even if he dies. Scouts cannot be seen on your opponents incoming troop alert timer. The player will not know that it was you who sent the Scout, but they will be alerted that a Scout was detected.
What is the difference between a Scout report and a Battle report?
When attacking a town, the battle report that you recieve is the same as a Scout report, if some of your troops survive the battle. If none of your troops survive the battle, then the report only contains your troops before and after the battle (there is no information about their troops). To guarantee that you will recieve a full report about their troops, send in a scout by itself.
What does the General do?
He is the elite commanding unit of your army. You can send him along with an army when attacking a town, or choose to leave him behind to help defend the town. If your general is in the battle, your army will be more successful. In this section you can also decide what battle formation to use when defending the town from attack.
How can I conquer a town?
You can only conquer another player's town, if it is not their capital city. So in other words, a player cannot lose their capital. To actually conquer a town, you need to attack that town, win the battle and have at the end of the battle, at least 99 colonists remaining. You can also send your colonists in after the battle is finished if you choose.
How can I tell which town is a player's capital?
On the map, Capitals can be identified because they have higher walls than other towns. Also you can click on the player's town on the map, and then click on view. A list of towns will appear that the player owns, and the capital has the letter "(c)" after the town name.
Can my troops die from starvation?
Yes, troops can starve to death if there is not enough stored crop to feed them. The more troops there are in a town, the lower the town's morale becomes. If a town's morale reaches a value that is less than zero, the town will start losing resources, including stored crop. If the stored crop value reaches zero, or less than zero, troops will begin to starve over a period of time, and will periodically die.
What do siege engines/catapults do?
When you attack another town with a catapult, it randomly selects a building and damages it, reducing the level of the building by 1. Not all types of building can be targeted and damaged. If not all buildings are built in a town, or there are buildings that are level 1, then their is a chance that the catapult will miss. If all buildings are built in a town, then the catapult will always hit. Only 1 catapult can be sent out to war at a time. If a building is damaged during an attack, the information will be displayed in the battle report.
Catapults are intended as a high cost item, because of the damage they do to towns. They are also easily destroyed by troops in both attack and defense and affect morale in the same way as regular troops. All of this is designed to ensure that catapult use does not become out of control. We will also be tweaking the system, as we learn more about their impact on the game.
What is siege immunity?
All capitals cannot be attacked by catapults, along with all players with 2 towns or less.
Guilds
How can I create or join a guild?

How can a guild leader assign recruiters?
A guild leader/founder can assign recruiters by changing the rank name of a member to include the word "recruiter" or "recruiting" as a part of the member rank name. Any combination of lower and upper case letters can be used. Guild members who have been assigned as recruiters can invite other players to join the Guild. There is no limit to how many recruiters a guild can have.
Here are a few examples of valid recruiting rank names:
Recruiter
ReCrUiTeR
Recruiting Officer
RECRUITER EXTREME

Messaging
When I try to send a message it says "No such user". Why?
User names are case sensitive, which means you need to use the same capital letters, as found in the player's name. If you are having a problem with this, click on the player's town that you want to message, and then click on "Write". It will automatically select the name of the player for you.
